The challenge:

Expansion of the production plant of one of the most important painting companies, solving different processes:

  • Keeping in suspension of various high density solids (CaCO3, TiO2, etc) in tanks of 10, 15 and 20 m3.
  • Dissolution and mixing of minority components.
  • Maintenance of the finished product with viscosities of up to 20.000 cPs.

The solution:

We supply 29 agitators with the optimized mixing system for each process.

Our added value:

The possibility of testing with the customer’s products in our pilot plant allowed us to optimize the power draw of agitators compared to those they had installed, as well as reduce process times due to the optimal geometry of the VAK KIMSA impellers, resulting in significant energy savings, as well as the reduction of production costs.

All this is computationally supported by the realization of Ansys finite elements simulations both mechanical and processly.
