In-line Mixers
At VAK KIMSA, we are pioneers in in-line mixing: development, application, and manufacturing.
What Is In-line Mixing?
An in-line mixer is a dynamic device installed in a pipeline and used to carry out mixing processes.
- Processes: mixing, dissolution, dispersion, emulsification, dilution.
- Mixer installed externally to the manufacturing tank.
- Solid-liquid, liquid-liquid, and gas-liquid mixing.
- The resulting mixture must be fluid, even if it is viscous.
- Solids may be powdered, crystalline, or granular.
- Batch or continuous production.

When Is In-line Mixing the Best Option?
If your mixing process requires very long agitation times, very high power, involves significant mixing difficulty, or demands an extremely high-quality final product, choose a VK in-line mixing system.
With VAK KIMSA in-line mixers, you obtain excellent products: lump-free, with minimal air incorporation, very fine texture, and outstanding stability. You also achieve optimized processes: batch-size flexibility, tanks free from solids adhered to the walls, complete dissolution of hygroscopic solids, and continuous dilution processes.
Technical Advantages of VK In-line Mixing Solutions
Our VK in-line mixers are designed to deliver high efficiency. Thanks to their innovative technical features, we guarantee high-quality results and repeatable products.
* VISCOVAK para la aspiración directa de sólidos desde sacos o bidones, sin necesidad de volcar el saco o bidón, con la ventaja principal de evitar la formación de nubes de polvo.
Construction Advantages of VK In-line Mixing
Thanks to their innovative and robust design, our mixers ensure faster, more efficient, and low-maintenance processes.
- High-efficiency design with 3 rotors and 2 stators.
- Operating principle based on turbulence generation and high shear, without friction.
- Wide rotor-stator clearance, resulting in less heating and easier cleaning.
- Horizontal layout that reduces the height of the solids loading point.
- Lower power requirement than a high-shear agitator.
Process Advantages
- No lumps are formed.
- Minimal air incorporation
- Flexible batch volume.
- One single mixer can be used to manufacture across several tanks.
- Components can be loaded at floor level.
- Tanks remain free from solids adhered to their walls.
- Complete dissolution of hygroscopic solids.
- Low-particle-size dispersions.
- Emulsions with small droplet size.
* Tanks remain free from solids adhered to their walls thanks to the direct incorporation of solids into the ALVAK and VISCOVAK in-line mixer head.
* Solids are incorporated into the ALVAK and VISCOVAK mixer hopper.
* Powdered solids are fed into the ALVAK in-line mixer hopper and mixed by recirculation through an external tank, forming a complete mixing installation.
